The French navy seized 9.6 tons of cocaine, worth $609 million, from an unregistered fishing vessel off West Africa. The seizure, following intelligence from British police and other authorities, was part of the Corymbe naval mission focused on combating piracy and drug trafficking in the Gulf of Guinea. This brings the French navy's total cocaine seizures in the region to nearly 16 tons in 2025.
