ICC charges former Philippine President Duterte crimes against humanity

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has unsealed charges against former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte for crimes against humanity, alleging his involvement in the killings of at least 76 people. The charges, submitted on July 4th, detail killings during his time as Davao City mayor and president, including accusations of instructing and authorizing the murder of alleged criminals. Duterte, arrested in March and currently held at an ICC facility, and his representatives have yet to respond. A court hearing, initially scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed.
