Dominican Republic says it seized cocaine that was on speed boat destroyed by US Navy

Dominican authorities seized 377 cocaine packages from a speedboat destroyed by the U.S. Navy in a joint anti-narcotics operation. The boat, allegedly carrying 1,000 kilos of cocaine, was intercepted about 80 nautical miles south of Isla Beata. This operation marks a first-time collaboration between the U.S. and Dominican Republic against narco-terrorism. The U.S. operation, involving eight warships and a submarine, has faced criticism from human rights groups citing extrajudicial killings. The White House claims the boats originated in Venezuela, a claim denied by President Maduro.
