A Northrop Grumman Cygnus cargo capsule, carrying 11,000 pounds of supplies, finally reached the International Space Station Thursday. A premature engine shutdown caused a one-day delay. The issue stemmed from an overly cautious software setting. This is the first mission of the larger Cygnus version, named the S.S. Willie McCool. The ISS relies on multiple supply providers, including SpaceX, Russia, and soon Japan, to maintain operations.
