The UK has deported its first migrant to France under a new "one in, one out" agreement. An Indian national was removed on an Air France flight this morning following a High Court intervention that temporarily blocked the deportation of an Eritrean man on modern slavery grounds. The Home Secretary vowed to fight legal challenges, while the UK's anti-slavery commissioner expressed concern that such rhetoric could be exploited by traffickers. Several previously planned deportations were reportedly cancelled earlier this week.
