A Spirit Airlines flight from Fort Lauderdale to Boston came dangerously close to Air Force One, carrying President Trump, over New York on Tuesday. Air traffic control repeatedly warned the Spirit flight to alter its course, instructing the pilot to turn 20 degrees right. While maintaining required separation, the controller's increasingly urgent warnings, including a suggestion the pilot get off their iPad, highlight a near-miss incident. Spirit Airlines confirmed the flight followed air traffic control instructions and landed safely. The White House has yet to comment.
