Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh smashed two home runs in consecutive at-bats against the Kansas City Royals, surpassing Mickey Mantle's record for switch-hitters with 55 home runs and tying Ken Griffey Jr.'s Mariners record with his 56th. His 55th homer broke Mantle's 1961 record, while his 56th tied Griffey's 1997 mark. This was Raleigh's 10th multi-home run game this season, an MLB record for catchers. He's now just six homers shy of Aaron Judge's American League record.
