For the first time since its sinking in 1916, artifacts have been recovered from the Britannic, the Titanic's sister ship. An 11-member dive team retrieved items including the ship's bell and navigation light during a week-long operation in May. The challenging dive, at a depth of nearly 400 feet, yielded artifacts reflecting both the ship's luxury and wartime hospital role. These recovered items, currently undergoing conservation in Athens, will be showcased in a new Museum of Underwater Antiquities.
