Colorado House Minority Leader Rose Pugliese resigned Monday, citing the recent scandal involving a Republican representative secretly photographing a Democratic colleague and sharing it online, leading to death threats. Pugliese, elected in 2022 and re-elected in 2024, stated her resignation was for personal reasons and to prioritize her children's safety after the incident caused a collapse of integrity within the State House. The scandal involved Rep. Ryan Armagost, who also resigned. Acting Minority Leader Ty Winter pledged the Republican caucus will swiftly elect a new leader and continue their legislative efforts.
