Bardem Condemns Gaza Genocide at Emmys | JQJO

Javier Bardem, at the 2025 Emmys, publicly supported Film Workers for Palestine's pledge to boycott Israeli institutions complicit in the Gaza genocide. He stated he won't work with those justifying the violence, referencing the International Association of Genocide Scholars' declaration. Paramount countered, emphasizing storytelling's power and opposing boycotts based on nationality. Bardem clarified the pledge targets institutions, not individuals, who whitewash or justify the genocide. Over 3,900 industry figures signed the pledge.
