Nepal's new Prime Minister, Sushila Karki, the country's first female PM, has urged calm and cooperation after violent protests resulted in 72 deaths and widespread destruction. Protests, dubbed the "Gen Z protest," stemmed from anger over corruption and inequality. Karki pledged 1 million rupees in compensation to families of victims and promised to address the injured. The protests led to the resignation of the previous PM and the burning of government buildings. Calm was restored after army intervention, and elections are scheduled for March 5th.
