Hamnet Wins Toronto People's Choice Award | JQJO

Chloé Zhao's 'Hamnet,' a Shakespearean drama starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, won the People's Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival. This award often predicts Oscar success, although last year's winner underperformed. 'Hamnet' premiered to positive reviews and will be released later this year. Other winners included Park Chan-wook's 'No Other Choice' (International People's Choice) and 'The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue' (Documentary People's Choice), a controversial film that sparked protests.
