Astronomers have discovered a new potential quasi-moon, 2025 PN7, orbiting Earth. This small, 19-meter asteroid is the smallest and least stable quasi-satellite yet identified. While orbiting the sun, its trajectory makes it appear to orbit Earth for decades. The discovery, published in Research Notes of the American Astronomical Society, was initially suggested by an amateur astronomer and highlights the challenges of detecting smaller, fainter celestial objects.
