New photos of interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS, taken during a lunar eclipse, show it possibly turning bright green. This may be due to increasing solar radiation causing the release of chemicals from its core, possibly dicarbon or cyanide. The comet, roughly 7 miles wide, is traveling at over 130,000 mph and will flyby Mars next month before its closest approach to the sun in late October. Further observations are needed to confirm the color change and its cause, as the comet will soon be difficult to observe.
