NATO allies convened emergency talks Wednesday under Article 4 of the alliance's treaty following the incursion of Russian drones into Polish airspace. Polish and Dutch fighter jets shot down some of the drones. The consultations, part of a regular North Atlantic Council meeting, were triggered by Poland's concerns about its security. Article 4 allows allies to discuss threats to their territorial integrity, political independence, or security, but doesn't automatically activate Article 5, NATO's collective defense clause. This incident follows Russia's recent large-scale attack on Ukraine.
