Boeing and the machinists union have reached a tentative agreement to end a five-week strike in St. Louis. The five-year contract offers a 45% average wage increase, including a 24% general wage hike and a $4,000 bonus. Union members will vote on Friday. While Boeing calls it their best offer, some workers remain hesitant due to rising living costs and the fact that the raise is essentially an extension of the previous offer with a slight increase. If approved, workers would return Monday, with full production resuming within a week.
