Polly Holliday, the actress famous for playing the sassy waitress Flo on "Alice," died Tuesday at 88. Her memorable portrayal of Flo, which included the iconic line "Kiss my grits!," earned her three Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe awards. Beyond "Alice" and its spin-off "Flo," Holliday had a successful career in theater, notably a Tony Award nomination for "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," and film, appearing in "Gremlins," "Mrs. Doubtfire," and "All the President's Men."
