Spain will formalize its arms embargo on Israel

Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez condemned Israel's actions in Gaza, calling them a violation of humanitarian law and announcing several measures, including an arms embargo, a ban on ships carrying fuel for Israeli forces from Spanish ports, and increased humanitarian aid to Gaza. These measures, which require parliamentary approval, also include an embargo on goods from Israeli settlements and a ban on entry for those involved in the conflict. In response, Israel banned two Spanish ministers from entering the country, accusing them of antisemitic statements and supporting boycotts. Israel's foreign minister downplayed the impact of Spain's actions.
