Russia launched its largest drone and missile attack on Ukraine, firing 823 projectiles, killing at least four and injuring 44. The attack, including 810 drones and 13 missiles, hit 33 locations across Ukraine, damaging infrastructure in several cities. This marked the first attack on Kyiv's government district since February 2022. Russia has intensified drone strikes using primarily Shahed-type drones, increasing production to counter Ukrainian defenses, which include various air defense systems like NASAMS, IRIS-T, and domestically produced interceptors. Despite a largely stalemated conflict, Russia recently made territorial gains.
