A total lunar eclipse, also known as a 'blood moon', will be visible on September 7-8. Over 7 billion people will have a view of the totality. For those unable to see it directly, several free online livestreams will be available, including one from the Virtual Telescope Project in Italy starting at 1:45 p.m. EDT on September 7th, and another from Time and Date starting at 12 p.m. EDT. These livestreams will capture the moon's passage through Earth's shadow.
