American pilot Ethan Guo, 20, has been released from a Chilean Antarctic air base after a two-month detention for illegally landing his plane. He was ordered to pay a $30,000 donation to childhood cancer research and is banned from Chile for three years. Guo, who was attempting a solo round-the-world flight to raise money for cancer research, pleaded his case and had charges dropped. His lawyer stated they disagreed with the legal process but accepted the outcome. Guo plans to continue his fundraising mission.
