TIFF Premieres: Oscar Buzz for Tatum, Fraser | JQJO

The Toronto International Film Festival showcased two world premieres: 'Roofman,' a comedic crime drama starring Channing Tatum as a reformed criminal, and 'Rental Family,' a Japanese film about a rental family service starring Brendan Fraser. Both films received positive audience reactions and are considered strong contenders for the festival's audience award, potentially leading to Oscar nominations for their lead actors. 'Roofman,' directed by Derek Cianfrance, is a Paramount priority for awards season, while 'Rental Family,' directed by Hikari, offers a unique premise.
