Mark Volman, founding member of the 1960s band the Turtles and half of the duo Flo & Eddie, passed away in Nashville at age 78. Volman, known for his work with the Turtles on hits like "Happy Together," and later collaborations with Frank Zappa and T. Rex, enjoyed a long career in music. After the Turtles disbanded, he formed Flo & Eddie, achieving further success. He later earned a degree, taught music business, and published a memoir before his death following a brief illness. He is survived by his partner, ex-wife, and daughters.
