The LA Clippers are under investigation by the NBA for allegedly circumventing the salary cap with a deal involving Kawhi Leonard and a now-bankrupt company, Aspiration. Former Mavericks owner Mark Cuban defended Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, claiming Aspiration scammed the Clippers and that Ballmer wouldn't risk bankruptcy. Cuban believes the deal was a legitimate sponsorship, not a salary cap maneuver. The Clippers vehemently deny any wrongdoing.
