The Dallas Cowboys traded star defensive end Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, but the Philadelphia Eagles also made a serious attempt to acquire him. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Eagles made a 'strong play' for Parsons. However, the Cowboys refused to trade him within their own division, the NFC East, as they play the Eagles twice yearly. This decision adds another layer to the already highly anticipated season opener between the Cowboys and Eagles, and prevents the Eagles from adding Parsons to their roster for a potential Super Bowl run.
