Beijing's streets are heavily restricted today due to a major parade. Many roads and sidewalks are blocked off by barricades and guarded by numerous police, soldiers, and security personnel. Neighborhood volunteers are also assisting. While traffic is lighter than usual in many areas, significant delays are occurring near the parade route due to motorcades.
