Farrell's New Movie: Will it Win Big? | JQJO

Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front) and Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin) team up for "Ballad of a Small Player," a film about a gambling addict in Macao. The film, adapted from Lawrence Osborne's novel, premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and received positive reviews, praised for its humor, style, and Farrell's performance. Unlike Berger's previous epics, this is a smaller, character-driven story reminiscent of films like "Mississippi Grind" and "Uncut Gems." Netflix will release it in theaters October 15th and on streaming October 29th. Potential awards buzz surrounds Farrell's acting and the screenplay.
