Mortal Kombat II, the sequel to the 2021 reboot, has been delayed. Originally planned for October 24th, 2024, it will now hit theaters May 15th, 2026. This move positions it for a summer blockbuster release and avoids competition with other films. The movie, directed by Simon McQuoid and starring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, continues the story of Earth's fighters against Outworld's forces. Early footage shown at CinemaCon hints at exciting fight scenes and fatalities.
