Battlefield 6 Beta: Secure Boot Blocked YOU? | JQJO

EA's Battlefield 6 open beta required players to enable Secure Boot, causing controversy. Many players couldn't activate this security setting, preventing them from playing. Technical director Christian Buhl defended the decision as necessary to fight cheaters, acknowledging it's imperfect but improves anti-cheat effectiveness. Secure Boot grants kernel-level access, hindering cheats like memory manipulation and rootkits, but doesn't eliminate cheating entirely. Buhl apologized for excluding some players.
