Salmonella outbreak linked to eggs sickens 95 people, CDC says

A salmonella outbreak linked to recalled Country Eggs LLC eggs has sickened 95 people across the US, with 73 cases in California. The recalled eggs, sold under various brand names, were distributed in California and Nevada between June 16 and July 9. Eighteen people were hospitalized, but no deaths have been reported. The CDC estimates the actual number of cases is much higher, as many go undiagnosed. Salmonella causes diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps. The CDC warns vulnerable populations, like young children and the elderly, may experience more severe illness.
