Filming has begun on Star Wars: Starfighter, a standalone film set five years after The Rise of Skywalker. Directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Gosling, the cast includes newcomers Flynn Gray and Aaron Pierre, alongside Amy Adams, Mia Goth, and Matt Smith (as villains). The movie follows Gosling's character protecting a young person in a galaxy-spanning adventure. Much of the supporting cast is British, and the film is slated for release on May 28, 2027.
