He collapsed during preparations for a scene at the Hotel Danieli and was pronounced dead at the scene. Medical staff tried to help, but he likely suffered a sudden heart attack. Paramount Television Studios expressed their condolences. Filming was briefly suspended but has since resumed, with season 5 already underway.
