Sony is raising the price of its PlayStation 5 consoles in the US by $50 starting August 21st. The new prices will be $499.99 for the Digital Edition, $549.99 for the standard PS5, and $749.99 for the PS5 Pro. However, consumers can still find the consoles at lower prices at major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart before the price increase takes effect. The price hike follows a similar move by Nintendo and is attributed to tariffs on imported goods.
