Uganda to accept deported migrants from the United States under new deal

Uganda and the United States have reached an agreement on the deportation of migrants. The deal stipulates that deportees must have no criminal records and be adults. Uganda prefers African nationals and is working with the US to finalize implementation details. While Uganda has a generous refugee policy, the foreign minister questioned accepting individuals rejected by their own countries, raising concerns about integration and fairness to Ugandan citizens. The agreement's specifics, including visa and sanction issues, are still under discussion.
