A cargo ship, the W-Sapphire, experienced an explosion in Baltimore harbor near the Key Bridge collapse site. The Coast Guard and local fire department responded, containing the fire and guiding the vessel back to port. Twenty-three crew members were aboard, with no injuries reported. Witnesses described a loud explosion and large plume of smoke. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
