Two American tourists, aged 79 and 74, drowned in separate incidents at Carnival Cruise Line's Celebration Key resort in the Bahamas on August 15th. One drowned while snorkeling, the other in a pool. Both incidents occurred at the new $600 million resort, which opened in July. Carnival Cruise Line confirmed the deaths and stated that lifeguards and medical teams responded. Royal Bahamas Police are investigating both deaths, and autopsies are pending. A separate shark attack incident also occurred in the Bahamas the following day.
