A new data breach has exposed the personal information of up to 3,700 Afghans resettled in the UK. The breach originated with Inflite The Jet Centre, a subcontractor of the Ministry of Defence. The compromised data includes passport details and Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (Arap) numbers. This follows a previous major breach in 2022 exposing nearly 19,000 Afghans' data. The government assures the breaches haven't compromised government systems, but the incidents have sparked concern and criticism, particularly given the ongoing plight of Afghans facing deportation back to Afghanistan.
