An 82-year-overdue library book, "Your Child, His Family, and Friends," was returned to the San Antonio Public Library from Oregon. The book, borrowed in 1943, was returned with a letter explaining its long journey, noting the borrower's grandmother had taken it to Mexico City. The library, having eliminated overdue fines in 2021, will display the book before donating it. While impressive, this isn't the record for overdue books; that belongs to a book returned 288 years late.
