Kapoor's Climate Protest Paints Gas Rig Crimson | JQJO

Greenpeace activists, in collaboration with artist Anish Kapoor, staged a climate protest on a Shell gas rig in the North Sea. A large crimson canvas, titled "Butchered," was affixed to the rig to symbolize the environmental damage caused by fossil fuels. The artwork, created using non-toxic materials, aims to raise awareness about climate change and the role of major oil and gas companies. Shell criticized the action as dangerous and unlawful, while Kapoor emphasized the importance of citizen protest in the face of government restrictions.
