Body of Antarctic researcher found 66 years after he disappeared exploring glacier

The remains of Dennis "Tink" Bell, a British Antarctic researcher who disappeared in 1959 after falling into a crevasse, have been found 66 years later. His body and over 200 personal items were discovered near Admiralty Bay on King George Island, exposed by a receding glacier. DNA testing confirmed the identity. The discovery brings closure to his family and highlights the risks faced by early Antarctic explorers. The remains were found by Polish researchers and then transported to the UK via the Falkland Islands and the RAF.
