Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon is reportedly buying the Portland Trail Blazers from the estate of Paul Allen for over $4 billion. Allen, Microsoft co-founder, purchased the team in 1988. His will mandated the sale of his sports holdings, with proceeds benefiting philanthropy. The Trail Blazers, valued at $3.5 billion last year, haven't made the playoffs in four seasons, while Dundon's Hurricanes have been consistently successful.
