Alabama has named Ty Simpson as its starting quarterback for the 2025 season, beating out Austin Mack and Keelon Russell. Coach Kalen DeBoer praised Simpson's accuracy and ability to throw a catchable ball. Simpson, a former five-star recruit, has patiently waited his turn, choosing to stay at Alabama despite limited playing time. He'll lead a talented offense, including a strong receiving corps and experienced running back Jam Miller, in the season opener against Florida State on August 30th.
