Up to 100 meteors per hour are expected, though the waning gibbous moon may affect visibility. Best viewing is in dark areas away from city lights. The shower originates from comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle and is visible from the Northern Hemisphere. Fireballs, exceptionally bright meteors, are also anticipated.
