The remains of British researcher Dennis Bell, lost in an Antarctic crevasse in 1959, have been recovered after 66 years. A Polish team found his remains and personal belongings on King George Island as the glacier retreated. DNA confirmed the identity, bringing closure to his family. Bell, a meteorologist, fell into a crevasse while on a survey. Despite an initial rescue attempt, he perished. The discovery highlights the human cost of Antarctic exploration.
