Apple is reportedly developing a cheaper 12.9-inch MacBook, potentially launching late 2025 or early 2026. Priced between $599 and $699, it would use an A18 Pro chip (first Mac with an iPhone chip), unlike the M-series chips used in other Macs. This lower-cost model aims to compete with Chromebooks and boost Apple's MacBook sales by millions of units annually.
