Three of the four operating reactors at a French nuclear power plant automatically shut down over a weekend, with the fourth following suit early Monday. The plant, owned by EDF, has six reactors total, two of which are currently undergoing maintenance. EDF assures the incident poses no safety risk to the plant, workers, or environment. Increased jellyfish populations in nearby beaches are attributed to rising sea temperatures, altered salinity, and overfishing.
