Bobby Whitlock, claviériste et chanteur de Derek and the Dominos, est décédé à l'âge de 77 ans dimanche matin des suites d'un cancer. Son manager, Carol Kaye, a confirmé la nouvelle, précisant que Whitlock était entouré de sa famille au Texas. Whitlock a cofondé le groupe de rock emblématique connu pour son album de 1971, "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs". Son épouse, Coco Carmel Whitlock, a partagé un hommage touchant, soulignant son parcours de la pauvreté au succès musical. Il laisse derrière lui trois enfants.
