Bobby Whitlock, keyboardist and vocalist for Derek and the Dominos and a contributor to George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass," died Sunday at 77 after a brief battle with cancer. The Memphis native played with Stax artists before joining Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, leading to collaborations with Eric Clapton. Whitlock co-wrote several tracks on Derek and the Dominos' classic album "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs" and contributed significantly to Harrison's album. He also released solo albums and played with other renowned musicians. Whitlock leaves behind a legacy as a highly influential and talented musician.
