Hubble captured the clearest image yet of interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS, the third such object discovered. Initially estimated to be several miles wide, Hubble's observations refine its size to a maximum of 3.5 miles, possibly as small as 1,000 feet. Traveling at 130,000 mph, it poses no threat to Earth, passing closer to Mars. Visible through September, it will approach the sun in late October before reappearing in December. The comet, like others of its kind, is dark and red, reflecting minimal sunlight.
