Disney is fully integrating Hulu into its Disney+ streaming service, creating a unified app launching in 2026. While stand-alone subscriptions will remain available, the combined app aims to improve user experience, reduce churn, and boost advertising revenue. Hulu will replace the Star brand internationally in Fall 2025. Disney's acquisition of the remaining Hulu stake from Comcast concluded in June 2025, costing approximately $9 billion. Hulu's live TV subscribers will transition to Fubo. Disney will no longer report individual streaming subscriber numbers for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.
